Our Team
Stan Dickson
Stanley B. Dickson, Jr. founded Dickson & Associates in 1991. He owns and operates numerous businesses, including the Epicurean Group of restaurants, Genesis Genetics Institute LLC, Happy Howie’s, Inc., Wizard Trading, Inc., H/A Industries, RBD Creative and Trowbridge Law Firm. He also serves as Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors for First National Bank in Howell, Director for Barton Mallow Company and Director for Michigan Crossroads Council for the Boy Scouts of America. He received his A.B. with honors in French from the University of Michigan in 1974, M.S. in Taxation from Golden Gate University in 1976 and J.D. from the University of Detroit in 1979. He earned his CPA in 1976 and was admitted to the State Bar of Michigan in 1980. He belongs to the State Bar of Michigan, American Bar Association, Michigan Association of Certified Public Accountants, American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, World President’s Organization and Detroit President’s Organization.
Shirley Keen
Shirley has been with Dickson & Associates since its inception in 1991. She graduated from Walsh College with a Bachelor in Accountancy in 1981 and a Master in Taxation in 1991. She is a member of the Michigan Association of Certified Public Accountants and American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and was named one of HOUR Detroit’s best wealth managers in 2011. Over her 30 year career, she has worked with companies across diverse industries to answer a wide array of tax and accounting questions.
Evgeniya Elkina
Evgeniya has been working in public accounting since March 2007, primarily with small to medium-sized businesses. She joined Dickson & Associates in October 2008 and enjoys working with clients in all aspects of the business – from organization and establishing reporting protocols to preparation of financial statements, tax planning and completion. Evgeniya graduated from Madonna University with a BA in Communication Arts in July 2004 and Walsh College with a Master of Science in Accountancy in 2007. She obtained her CPA license in January 2013 and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and Michigan Association of Certified Public Accountants.
William Dickson
William joined Dickson & Associates in 2012. He graduated from Kalamazoo College in 2009 with a BA in Economics and from the University of Texas with a Master in Professional Accounting in 2011. He also studied Economics for a year at the London School of Economics as part of the General Course. He previously worked for Walleye Trading Advisors in the Eurodollar options pit on the floor of the Chicago Mercantile Exchange and Citigroup Commodities, where he traded natural gas and electricity on the west coast. He is a member of Young President’s Organization Next Generation and serves as a Director of Moross Limited Partnership and Chief Operating Officer of Myne, a startup technology company.
Adam Steinheiser
Adam joined Dickson & Associates in 2014 and has since primarily worked on Genesis Genetics, where he maintains their books and payables and prepares tax returns. He graduated from Walsh College in 2012 with a BA in Accounting and is currently working on completing his MBA degree at Walsh before sitting for the CPA exam. Adam gained experience in public accounting when he worked with his father for two years, where he prepared personal tax returns and provided financial statements and tax returns for small and medium sized businesses.
